VCChina's mission is to identify and help shape outstanding businesses, bringing to them the capital they need to support rapid growth. Through our expertise in investments, technology, and business management, VCChina is playing a key role in the development of China's entrepreneurial sector.
There are four components to VCChina's operations: venture capital investment advisory services, venture capital investment, consulting services, and educational services. VCChina is primarily a venture capital investment and advisory firm. We supply venture capital and investment firms with deal flow for projects in China. Through our rigorous review process, we identify, evaluate, screen, and select those firms with the highest growth potential. We then perform preliminary due diligence on those that demonstrate investment worthiness. The few firms that pass our review process are classified as Premier Companies. We make summaries of these Premier Company business plans available to our investment clients. When a venture capital or investment firm expresses interest in one of our certified Premier Companies, we facilitate the introduction.
VCChina also has the facilities to co-invest in its certified Premier companies, through our sponsor firms, Jardines and the A&A Actienbank. As a venture capital firm, VCChina co-invests on a minority basis, and only in certified Premier companies. These are commercially viable enterprises that will generate attractive returns commensurate with the business and political risks of investments in China. Key to our selection criteria are proven management teams, business models, and leading technologies.
VCChina also offers extensive consulting services focusing on venture capital, SME financing, and entrepreneurialism. We are particularly involved in advising government financial institutions, agencies, and provincial authorities in SME financing, entrepreneurialism, and the venture capital mechanism. We also offer market entry strategy consultation and foreign direct investment advisory services for firms that are formulating expansion plans into China in light of the country's expected entry into the World Trade Organization. Our services consist primarily of strategy development, research, and assistance in locating acquisition targets or industry partners in mainland China. The process of locating and investigating acquisition targets and investment partners is a natural extension of our principal business and thus requires the same quality of due diligence and investigative work. Finally, we also provide management consultation, marketing strategy, and business planning services for entrepreneurial firms with exceptional qualifications.
In addition to investment advisory services, we also provide education and training to government-managed venture capital funds, entrepreneurs, and industry. Training services are available through our standard seminars, which are taught on a quarterly basis, or through private instruction, where courses are specifically designed according to the needs and interests of the client organization.
